Indian Cove is the best kept secret of The Joshua Tree National Park, with magnificent panoramic views and impressive towering rock formations, Indian Cove is a breathtaking wedding destination.
Indian Cove is part of The Joshua Tree National Park, however there is no entrance fee required to enjoy Indian Cove's majestic day hiking and world class rock climbing. Indian Cove boasts to have the largest bird population within The Joshua Tree National Park.
Fees are required for campsite reservations, and special use permits for elopements and weddings.

To reach Indian Cove Campsites, travel east on Hwy 62 towards Twentynine Palms, go south on Indian Cove Rd. for 2.7 miles, the road will dead end at The Indian Cove Ranger Station, granting travelers access to this majestic destination of The Joshua Tree National Park. Indian Cove And Rattlesnake Canyon Picnic Area
Special-use permits are required for ALL weddings and elopements regardless of size. The cost of wedding application is $120. and is non-refundable. Additional cost can vary depending on the size of your wedding and location.
PLEASE NOTE, If you are hiring a professional photographer or caterer, or any additional vendors, they are also required to obtain a separate Special Use wedding permit.
This permit is also required for Engagement photos and

Please Note, Permit Availability Is Limited Apply For Your Park Permit As Soon As You Know Your Wedding Date, Preferred Park Location And Time. Also required on your application you will need a back-up second choice for location, ceremony time and date.
Allow a minimum of 15 Business Days For Your Special Use Permit To Process. Special Use Permit Applications must be recieved at least 15 business days prior to your requested date and no more than 12 months prior to your requested date.
Please note if a permit is not obtained for this activity, you are subject to a Federal Citation fine up to $500.
No permits will be issued on Federal Holidays and NPS free entrance days. No permits will be issued from December 20th to January 1st.

The Joshua Tree National Park ALLOWS
a small table for guestbook, cooler with water, and a free standing wedding arch with fresh flowers, live floral bouquets, battery-powered candles, small runner, small rug, cake and champagne, live fresh flowers, live floral bouquets, and fake flowers.
DOES NOT ALLOW
dried flowers, the throwing of birdseed, rice, rose petals or confetti, NO pampas grass, No Dried flowers, NO smoke bombs, fireworks, sparklers, open flamed candles, rice, chalk, colored-water tablets, colored sand, directional signage, furniture, blowing of bubbles, unattended food items, hanging or attaching anything to a tree or bush, or in the ground, climbing on the endangered Joshua Trees, amplified music, speakers and microphones.
The gathering of branches, plants, or flowers, drones, does NOT permit balloons, the releasing of any live animal, butterflies, doves etc., or anything that would endanger The National Park.
NO entrance fee is required for your
guests to enter Indian Cove
